Lynn M. Kasics

I have been a resident of South Amboy for 30 years. I have been married to my husband Larry for 39 years. Both of our children have gone through South Amboy Public Schools from Pre-K to High School graduation. I was employed by the City of South Amboy as a Crossing Guard, a job that I loved, for nearly 19 years before I retired to care for my grandchildren. In the early 1990s, I was a coach and manager of the Midget Division of the city's Girls' Softball League for 4 years. I have been involved in the Middle / High School's Purple & Gold Club since 1999, where I enjoy volunteering for different events and fundraisers at our schools.

I have been a proud member of the South Amboy Board of Education since 2009. In early 2018, I was elected to serve as Vice President of our board and remained  Vice President through 2021. I became a Certified Board Member in August 2018. I am currently proudly serving as the President of the Board since January 2023.  I have also served as our district delegate for the Delegates Assembly for 3 yrs 2017-2019. I was also selected to be an alternate representative as  the 9th Districts Legislative Committee for New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA). In March 2020, as the lockdown began, I completed my requirements, and became a Master Board Member. Over the years I have had the pleasure of attending many of the school functions to support the students. I am excited to improve my ability as a Board Member by taking more courses from NJSBA and continuing to help make a difference in our schools to improve our students' educational experience.
