Social Media Video: (5/22/19)

I was recently made aware of a video being circulated through social media that depicts several former South Amboy students using racial slurs. While these students are no longer enrolled in our schools, I want to make it unequivocally clear that their actions and comments do not represent our district, our students, or our community. The richness of our school community stems from the diversity found within our student population, and we are outraged by the comments made in this video. Throughout the school year, we teach about tolerance, anti-discrimination, upstanding, and empathy. We will ensure our teachers continue to design lessons around these topics and provide additional programming to address and combat insensitive and hateful speech and actions.
