Raised in Union City, NJ.  Graduated from Emerson High School and New Jersey City University with a Bachelor of Science. I started volunteering at the age of 11 for the Union City Volunteer Ambulance Corp and became an EMT at the age of 16. At the age of 22, I became a firefighter for the Union City Fire Department. In my 25 year career,  I have always been part of multiple committees that give back to the community. For example, during my tenure, I have taught fire prevention tips to students in our schools, and have supported our elderly community teaching them about fire prevention tips. I have served as the chairman of a four miles long Christmas parade for 10 years.

Shortly after I got married to my lovely wife Daysi, we moved to South Amboy in 2004 where my sons attend the South Amboy Public Schools. I’m very fortunate that my flexible work schedule has allowed me to be involved in my sons’ school activities, such as being a classroom parent and helping out whenever I could in the school. I also joined the South Amboy Volunteer. Fire Department as soon as we moved into town. In 2020, I was elected to the SA Board of Education, and I currently serve as the Chair of the Policy committee, working with other board members to revise and implement policies to serve our students and staff.
