Laurie Guthrie
Raised in Rahway, NJ, Laurie and her husband Mark bought their first home in South Amboy in 2008, and in 2011 they had their twins Amelia and Robert who are students at the South Amboy Public Schools. Appointed to the BOE in February of 2021 and then elected for a 2 year term that same year, she balances those responsibilities with being the Director of Customer Success for a NJ Based software company located in Monmouth Junction, whom she has been with since 2016. Laurie is active in the local Community Theatre Community in Central NJ and really hopes to bring a bigger focus to the arts in South Amboy.
