I take great pride in being elected to the South Amboy Board of Education. I am absolutely thrilled to work on behalf of our students and help to provide the same great public education experience that I benefited from. While I am new to Board, I have over 25 years of experience as a teacher and later as a Field Representative for the NJEA.
A little bit about me, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History Education from Kean University in 2000. With that in hand, I eventually achieved my dream of returning to my hometown of Piscataway and teaching High School Social Studies where I worked until 2018. It was always my goal to give back to the schools that helped make me who I am. I took great joy in teaching, coaching, and mentoring young people to do great things.
My wife Courtney and I moved into town with our son Luke in 2012. We were attracted to the small town feel and while also appreciating that South Amboy is a community on the move. Over time, we have both found ways to give back to the community. With that being said, I am truly excited to get involved as a board member, as that it is truly my wheelhouse.
As much as I am here to share my knowledge and experience, I look forward to learning from my fellow board members. Most importantly, I look forward to nurturing and inspiring our young people to achieve greatness!
