My name is Judith Raskoshin. I was born and raised in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and later moved to Old Bridge, New Jersey. After graduating from Old Bridge High School, I continued my education at Monmouth University, where I earned a Master’s degree in Special Education. Upon completing my graduate studies, I began my teaching career and have proudly worked full-time as a Special Education teacher for the past 15 years.

My husband, Stanislav, and I purchased our first home together in South Amboy in 2013. We were immediately drawn to the city’s unique small town charm and strong sense of community. Over the past thirteen years as residents of South Amboy, our family has grown, and we are now proud parents of three wonderful children. Our oldest child is 8 years old, our middle child is 4, and our youngest is 1. As parents of two children currently attending South Amboy Elementary School, we experience firsthand the importance of providing students with a high quality education in a supportive and nurturing environment.

When my oldest child began school, I knew I wanted to become more involved not only as a parent, but also as an active member of the community. That desire led me to serve on the South Amboy Board of Education. During my time on the Board, I have had the privilege of serving one term as Vice President and two terms as Board President. These leadership roles have provided me with the opportunity to work collaboratively with fellow board members, administrators, staff, parents, and community stakeholders to support student achievement and strengthen our schools.

As Board President, I have helped foster a shared vision for learning and continuous improvement, build strategic partnerships, maintain and update district policies, uphold strong ethical standards, and thoughtfully address challenges as they arise. My experience as a Special Education teacher in a public school district uniquely positions me to contribute valuable insight and perspective as a Board member.

I believe I bring a well rounded perspective to the Board through my experience as an educator, a parent, and a dedicated community member. My focus has always remained on ensuring that every child receives the best education and educational experience possible during their school years.

I am excited about the future of our schools and our city, and I look forward to seeing South Amboy continue to grow and thrive. I truly love this city and the people who call it home.
