  • Students met in Computer Lab 444 to research information on the Seven Wonders of the World.
  • Students read an online atlas and textbook article on the Seven Wonders of the World and Egyptian Pyramids.
  • The students have to take a position on whether or not they think the Egyptian Pyramids should be one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
  • Students have to type a five-paragraph essay supporting their position.
  • Assignment is due in Google Classroom by 8:00 pm on 12/4.

  • Students completed a worksheet on the four principal parts of verbs.
  • We reviewed the five sentences students copied and underlined to identify principal parts of verbs.
  • Students copied notes on text aids and text features.
  • Students read p. 244-248.
  • Students had to answer questions 1a, 1b, and 1c on page 249.
  • Start planning for essay on whether or not the Egyptian Pyramids should be one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
  • Unit 5 vocabulary words are due tomorrow.

  • Students had time to copy Unit 5 words. Due on Friday.
  • We reviewed worksheet on internal and external conflict.
  • Students completed an inference worksheet.
  • Students copied notes and we discussed action and linking verbs.  We discussed principal parts of verbs. 
  • Student completed Practice A and Practice B on p.240 and a worksheet on principal parts of verbs.
  • Students had to copy five sentences from "The Old Lady Who Lived With the Wolves", then underline the verb(s) in each sentence, and identify the verb as one of the principal parts.

  • Students turned in the Reading Warm-up homework.
  • They had time to study with a partner for Unit 4 Vocabulary Test.
  • They took the Unit 4 Vocabulary Test.
  • Students started to copy Unit 5 vocabulary words. Due on 12/1.
  • Students answered Critical Thinking questions on p. 238 for "The Old Woman Who Lived With the Wolves".
  • Students completed a worksheet on internal and external conflicts for "The Old Woman Who Lived With the Wolves". We will check this tomorrow.
