ELA 6-  We will have a test on Number the Stars this week. We will also complete a unit project which will be due on Friday, December 8th. 
  • Monday-Test review!
  • Tuesday-TEST!
  • Wednesday-Introduce project. 
  • Thursday-Work on project during class. 
  • Friday-Complete project by the end of the period. 

ELA 7-We will continue to read, The Outsiders and complete various activities pertaining to the novel. Please remember to bring your study questions to class!

  • Monday-Bio-poem in groups. Begin to read Chapter 6.
  • Tuesday-Self-defense article and comparison. Finish reading Chapter 6.
    • HW: Chapter 6 study questions
  • Wednesday-Hero discussion and begin reading Chapter 7
  • Thursday-Self-identity discussion and finish reading Chapter 7
    • HW: Chapter 7 study questions
  • Friday-Newspaper article assignment on Google Classroom

ELA 8-We will watch, Sherlock Holmes and compare the movie to the stories we read in class. We will also complete a webquest on "A Christmas Story" and begin reading this week.

  • Thursday-Venn diagram comparing a situation to "Little Red Riding Hood"
  • Friday-Complete the novel

ELA 7-We will continue to read, The Outsiders and complete various activities pertaining to the novel. Please remember to bring your study questions to class!

  • Monday-Read Chapter 3 and complete identity activity
  • Tuesday-Finish Chapter 3 study questions and begin reading Chapter 4
  • Wednesday-Complete reading Chapter 4. Stereotyping activity with poem
    • HW: Complete Chapter 4 study questions
  • Thursday-Begin reading Chapter 5 and read article on self-defense
  • Friday-Finish reading Chapter 5 and compare/contrast informational article to The Outsiders.

ELA 8-We will continue our unit on Sherlock Holmes. We will read, "The Red-Headed League." Make sure to study for a unit test which will be on Friday!

English 9-  We will begin reading, Romeo and Juliet. We will read Act I this week. Act I test will be on Friday, March 11th. Make sure to bring your study questions to class!

English 10-  We will begin reading, Hamlet. We will read Act I this week. Act I test will be on Friday, March 11th. Make sure to bring your study questions to class!

English 11- We will review Acts III and IV of The Crucible. Acts III and IV test will be on Wednesday, March 9th. Please bring your study questions to class as they will count as a quiz grade! 

English 12- We will begin reading, Julius Caesar. We will read Act I this week. Act I test will be on Friday, March 11th. Make sure to bring your study questions to class!

English 9-  ALL PROJECTS ARE DUE MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST! We will watch, The Odyssey and compare the epic to the movie. 

English 10-  We will begin our Sherlock Holmes unit. This week, we will begin reading, "A Scandal in Bohemia."

English 11- We will begin reading, The Crucible. Please remember your study questions and write in complete sentences as they will count as a quiz grade!

English 12- We will learn about sonnets and "carpe diem" poetry. We will read various sonnets and "To the Virgins to Make Much of Time," and "To His Coy Mistress."

English 9-  We will finish reading, The Odyssey Part II. You will begin working on your final project for The Odyssey. ALL PROJECTS ARE DUE MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST!

English 10-  We will watch Great Expectations and compare the novel to the movie. 

English 11- You will work on your The Red Badge of Courage final projects. ALL PROJECTS ARE DUE MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST!

English 12- We will begin our unit on Renaissance Literature. We will take notes on Tuesday and watch The Other Boleyn Girl the rest of the week.

Vocabulary 3B review will be on Thursday, January 28th.  HW: Choose 5 3B vocab words and write an original sentence for each.

English 9-  We will continue our Greek Mythology unit. We will read, "The Fall of Troy."

English 10-  We will continue our King Arthur unit. We will read, "The Death of King Arthur."

English 11- We will continue our Puritan Literature Unit. This week we will read, "Huswifery" and "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God."

English 12- We will continue our Medieval Literature Unit. This week we will  read two ballads: "Get Up and Bar the Door" and "Lord Randall." We will also read, "The Coronation of Arthur" and "The Hollow Hills."
