Algebra I makes the transition from the specifics of arithmetic to the generalizations of
higher mathematics. It is the first high school mathematics course to meet the New
Jersey State requirement of a three-year mathematics sequence. Problem-solving
strategies and real-world applications are a primary focus. Algebra I is the first in the
math sequence, followed by Geometry and Algebra II.

These are Assigns #6- #8 in case you need them. Next Assessment will be Wed. (just equations and review problems from old material) then again on Friday (all word problems like consecutive numbers and also review problems from old material)

Tomorrow is the first test on solving equations. There will also be plenty of review problems on there, so hopefully we have been focusing with those as we have going over them...

Next we have equations with variables on both sides...

We will then move onto word problems and inequalities with variables on both sides

I realize it is a bigger packet, so I will give extra time since you probably skipped around.  The idea was to give you something to look at and practice in preparation for the Test, but also to give you plenty of extra practice because it can be a very varyied topic in terms of problem type...
