Very nice ceremony last night for our 8th graders. Thank you to our advisor, Ms. Spinapont, and to all the staff who helped make it a success.

12th grade ceremony is tonight. Our advisors, Mrs. Przywara and Mrs. Housman, have been working hard with our seniors to ensure it is a success.

We will have a PTO Breakfast during period two for our 12th graders.

For this evening please know 12th graders involved in the ceremony should report to the gymnasium by 5:30 pm with their cap and gown. The doors open for guest seating at 5:45 pm with the senior slide show at 6:15 pm. The ceremony is at 7:00 pm.

Will the juniors who gave their names to Mr. Gore for the Safety Ambassador Program next year please re-submit your names to Mr. Gore.  It was accidentally misplaced while cleaning my office. 
 
Thank you to our PTO, our PE Department, our juniors who scooped ices and all our staff who helped with Field Day on Monday.

PTO Breakfast during period two for our 8th graders. Ceremony tonight at 7:00 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Our 8th graders involed in the ceremony should report to the gymnsasium by 6:30 pm with their cap and gown.

The Safety Ambassador Program is looking for a total of 9 seniors, male and female, for the next school year to be trained by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, to teach 4 safety lessons to second graders in the elementary school.  You must be responsible and dependable with your academics and your character.  Interested candidates must see Mr. Gore

There will be a meeting for anyone signed up to take AP Government & Politics this Friday, June 16th, immediately after school in room 110. If you cannot attend the meeting but are signed up for the course please see Mr. Mecca as soon as possible.

All students must clean out their gym lockers today. If you borrowed a lock please return it to one of the phys. ed. teachers.

Reminder: Middle School Field Day on Monday.

Monday we will return to having students report to first period upon arrival. We will also have a modified short session day schedule. One will be posted in each classroom.

The Safety Ambassador Program is looking for a total of 9 seniors, male and female, for the next school year to be trained by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, to teach 4 safety lessons to second graders in the elementary school.  You must be responsible and dependable with your academics and your character.  Interested candidates must see Mr. Gore.

There will be a meeting for all boys and girls in middle and high school interested in running cross country today in room 110 immediately after school. If you are interested in joining the team but cannot attend the meeting, see Mr. Mecca as soon as possible.

There will be a meeting for anyone signed up to take AP Government & Politics this Friday, June 16th, immediately after school in room 110. If you cannot attend the meeting but are signed up for the course please see Mr. Mecca as soon as possible.

Any 8th-11th grade girl interested in basketball, there will be a short meeting after school 12:20 pm in the gymnasium.

The winner of the question of the month for June is Nicolas Mihalecko. The answer is: Grover Cleveland. Please see Mr. Ghezzi to collect your prize. All prizes are donated by the PTO.

At the end of the school year, one student is chosen from the winners of the question of the month to receive a $100.00 savings bond. The winner this year is Mackenzey Buczek. Please see Mr. Ghezzi in the media center.

To conclude the hockey season the Students faced off against the teacher team on Wednesday.  The teachers beat the Knights by a score of 7-5 led by Mr. Hughes' 4 goals.  The Teachers also defeated the All Star Team by a score of 5-4.  The teachers were led by Mr. Blekeski in the second game, scoring a hat trick.   Mr. Hughes would like to thank all the teachers that came out and played and all of the students who played throughout the hockey season.  High school students and current 8th graders, keep an eye out for hockey next spring!

Science League students, please see Dr. McCabe in the main office at this time.

Middle School students: on Monday there will be a Field Day event periods two through eight behind the school. If you have a T-shirt from Spirit Week for your class be sure to wear it. If not, wear your grade's colors. There will be a D.J., Italian Ices and activities, including water activities.

Tennis anyone? There will be a Girls Varsity Tennis meeting today in Mr. Wohlt's room 440 directly after school. This meeting is for girls currently in 8th through 11th grade. If you cannot make the meeting, see Mr. Wohlt in his room to sign up.

The NJHS is sponsoring a Game Night today from 3-4:30 pm.  $5 entrance fee.  Come play the Classics plus many more!

Any 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students interested in earning community service hours for assisting with the 8th grade formal today, please see Ms. Spinapont as soon as possible.

The Intramural Hockey finals were yesterday.  The Tornadoes defeated the Sharks to take 3rd place.  The 1st Place game between the Knights and Tombstones came down to a shootout.  Nick Charmello tied the game up with a laser with under a minute remaining.  Christian Conrad sealed the game in the 5th round of the shootout for the Knights. Led by Coach Michael Coman, the Knights won the South Amboy Cup.

The Students will now play the Teacher Team on Wednesday June 14th at 2:45 in the gym.  All students are invited to watch.  Any teachers interested in signing up can do so in the main office, or talk to Mr. Hughes

There will be a meeting for any girls in grades 8-11 interested in playing soccer next year today, at 3pm in the Media Center.

Freshman class, don't forget there is a class meeting today in Mrs. Jurgens' room after school. It will be a quick meeting!

All after school band and chorus members, stop by and see Ms. Alcuri some time today for important information.

Juniors please bring in the deposit for the Disney Trip by Friday, June 9th. Thank you, Ms.Aquino and Mrs. Nis.

The Intramural Hockey Finals will be today after school.   Come out to watch the Tornadoes v. the Sharks at 4 to battle for 3rd Place. And come to watch the Knights v. Tombstones play for 1st Place and the South Amboy Cup at 4:45.
