“Don't raise your voice, improve your argument."

― Desmond Tutu

Motto of the Club:

This Club is aimed at bringing to bare the oratory strength in high school students. It will build confidence in them to face a crowd of peers and make audible speeches. The Club also assists in the development of their writing skills as well as to open minds to appreciate other student’s literary thoughts. It will not only enable students who are good speakers but also motivate & cultivate students who are not so confident or verbal to improve, all in a conducive and acceptable manner.

Outline of the Club:

The Club will meet as early as September 2017 until May of 2018, in Room 222 once a month. Students will be given few acceptable & debatable topics and will prepare to have speeches. Five (5) debates will be held once a month effective October 2017 through April 2018

A panel of judges (faculty/staff) will vote on the best speech and runner-up each & incentive to the winner can be as simple as a certificate, a reward, or a prize.

Rules & Regulations:

Members & participants have to be respectful of each other with no personal remarks to the opponent speeches. There will be  healthy discussions and debates to boost public-speaking, confidence and literary abilities in each other. Judges will be unbiased and advising staff will offer guidance, encouragement & promote growth necessary for the real world.
