  • Safe Dates Program 9th Grade So. Amboy H.S. is pleased to announce that all 9th grade students will be participating in the "Safe Dates" program. "Safe Dates" helps teens recognize the difference between caring, supportive relationships and controlling, manipulative, or abusive dating relationships. This program will be a part of their 9th grade health class. The duration of the program will be nine 45 min. sessions. This valuable program is being funded through a grant from the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Service.

  • Free and Reduced Lunch Applications are due by 10/18/16 A reminder that forms for free and reduced lunch are available in our main office as well as on our website. If your child was receiving free or reduced lunch last year, he/she will continue to do so until October 18, 2016.A new application must be completed each year for anyone wishing to apply unless you are directly certified.If you have already completed an application for this year, there is nothing further you need to do. If you have any questions, please contact the school so we can assist you.

    Question of the month for September: What body part on Roman statues was often detachable?

    Attention all 7th Graders there will be a class meeting on Tuesday, October 4th, after school in room 328. Any questions please see Mrs. Palmeri or Mrs. Strzykalski.

    The girls MS Soccer team is now 3-0 after defeating Timothy Christian 2-1. Keara Skokowski not only controlled the defense, but she also scored a goal and had an assist. Jess Henry the other goal, making that three goals in two games. Great job ladies!

    There will be a  GSA meeting after school in Ms. Coppola's Room -- 104 directly after school.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

    Sorry for the misprint on the Student Council schedule.  There is NOT a meeting today.  The next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 5.  Middle School will meet in Room 439 and High School will meet in Room 106.

    Our school media center is continuing with the development a makerspace area for you to widen your creativity and be inventive. Come to the makerspace area located within the media center on the middle school side. Participate in group or solo activities. Come check it out and look forward to more exciting makerspace projects to come where you can invent, create and have fun.

    The Color Run!!! It's not too late. High School students get involved to earn five hours of community service. The middle school  grade that has the most number of donations will earn 3 points towards spirit week. The grade in second will receive 2 ponts and third, 1. Deadline for donations extended to Monday.

    Attention class of 2021!There will be an 8th grade class meeting on Thursday, September 29th, immediately after school in room 330

    Seniors: The last day to sign up for the senior class trip to DISNEY is tomorrow!!!  Please see Mrs. Housman or Mrs. Przywara for details.

    The middle school boys played an excellent game yesterday that ended in an 6 to 1 victory.. Goalie Harris Pyo saved a multitude of shots that helped keep the game close. Goalie Teddy Lenahan, in his first time as goalie, made 6 saves. Scoring for the game were Jake Szatkowski with one goal, Dennis Noon with 2 goals, Angel Barillas with 2 goals, and Jonathan Yepes with 1 goal. Good luck boys on your future games.
